Camyoga Education Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions outline our payments and refunds policy, and outline the Student’s obligations to Camyoga Education, and our obligations to the Student. They apply to any student taking a training course or workshop Camyoga Education Limited,
Camyoga Education agrees to:
Provide the Student with all the information needed to pass their course
Keep to the timetable and schedule, except for under extreme circumstances.
Start all sessions promptly and finish on time.
Ensure all Students fully understand the assessment procedure
Treat all Students equally, in accordance with the equal opportunities policy.
Provide all the relevant certification.
Provide Student support as required.
Provide impartial feedback during the course.
Provide adequate facilities and equipment during the course.
Employ only tutors with appropriate teaching and relevant discipline qualifications, who also maintain their own CPD (continuing professional development)
The Student agrees to:
Miss no more than 10% of the training days during the course.
Act respectfully to the tutors and other Students
Give full attention in class.
Adhere to the Camyoga ethical guidelines
Inform the tutors well in advance if any sessions will be missed.
Arrive promptly, and not to leave early.
Complete all assignments as set.
Raise any contentious points with the tutor after the class in the correct manner.
Refer to the Yamas and Niyamas for behavioral guidance.
Attend classes and practice the chosen subject discipline throughout the period of training.
Diploma Course fees and payments
A deposit is due on acceptance onto the course. The Student’s deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. The student is required to agree a contract for the remaining payments according to an agreed schedule. The student is liable for ALL the remaining payments of the course. Should the student withdraw from the course, the payments remain due according to the contract and the agreed schedule.
The course fee does not include accommodation; books required for the course, insurance or the cost of any yoga classes Students attend as part of the development of their personal practice.
Foundation Course fees and payments
Full fees are payable in advance of the course, and are non refundable under any circumstances.
Workshop fees and payments
Workshop bookings are fully refundable if the workshop booking is cancelled with a minimum of 14 days notice. Workshops cancelled with less that 14 days notice are non refundable.
Withdrawal from a course
In the event of a Student wishing to withdraw from a course, notice must be give in writing to the course director at the address at the end of this document, giving a minimum of 28 days notice. The Student will be liable for all the remaining payments due according to the contract.
Diploma Course Attendance
The Student may miss a maximum of 2 training days throughout the course without penalty, but the Student is expected to make up the missed work by liaising with another Student, and additional study. If the Student misses more than two days training during the course, then the Student must make up those sessions and contact hours by other means. This would usually be done in the following year’s course, and may involve additional cost. In some cases it may be necessary to retake a whole module, and this will be at the discretion of the tutors.
Diploma Course Students’ Insurance
The Student will need to take out trainee teacher insurance before the teaching assignments. This is done through our insurance company, at a subsidised rate, which is currently £53PA.
Diploma Course Referrals and Remarking
All resubmissions of coursework, either by referral or by a students’ choice to resubmit, are subject to a remarking fee of £50 PER ITEM. A referral of a final practical assessment incurs a resit fee of £150.
Transferring Assessments
Should the Student wish to defer their final assessment to a later date, a rearrangement administration fee of £150 will be applied.
Certificates
Certificates are issued in the name stated on the Student’s application. Replacement certificates may be provided for a set fee, upon request. It is the Student’s responsibility to inform Camyoga Education of any changes to the Student’s name, address, email or telephone number.
Support for people with different needs
Camyoga Education is bound by it’s own internal policies, to provide assistance to Students with special learning needs or disabilities. Please inform us on the application form of any such needs, so that appropriate support may be provided.
Health and safety
All Students must comply with the Camyoga Education Health and Safety procedures, and must not jeopardize themselves or put others at risk by their behavior. Students must familiarise themselves with the relevant venue emergency procedures, and all fire exits and stairways must be kept free from obstruction at all times.
Unacceptable behavior
Camyoga Education will NOT tolerate any aggressive or threatening behavior to any of its tutors or to other Students, or any inappropriate conduct in the learning environment. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Discriminatory speech or behavior including that based on age, race, gender, religion, HIV status or sexual orientation.
• Bringing alcohol or drugs into the learning environment
• Harassment or bullying
• Willful damage
Any Student found to be guilty of such behavior will be expelled from the course immediately, with no refunds.
Privacy Policy
Personal Information
The Student’s personal details will only be stored by us, and used during the administration of the course, and subsequent CPD.
We never disclose the Student’s details to a third party.
When placing a booking, or attending a course, you are obliged to provide us with your name, address, email address and phone number. We may ask for more information than this, in order to improve our services to you, but you are under no obligation to provide more.
